Subject: off subject-American full size vehicles

I think IMHO that American cars used to be great until about 1974....when the Eldorado went bye bye and the K-cars and pintos came in.......

But if you have to pull a decent size trailer or boat.....,.the only way to go is a 8.1L V-8 or V-10.....the new diesels are amazing, although still a little noisy and stinky........

I don't think anybody out there could haul the kind of payloads that the HD class and F-350's and 450's are capable of:

I have German, Japanese vehicles.........and love them....though I don"t like to think of all of the horrors these cultures perpetrated on civilization in the past 80 years.......today their engineering is very good........look how far the Japanese have come ....from the Corona to the Supra............

American vehicles could be made better......we just need more competition to force us to make a better product

That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

Malibu Tony 85' Westy 3.3L SVx 78' 911SC Targa 97 Toyota T100 4WD xtracab.....llove this thing......TRD super charger soon 97' Montero Sport 94 SVX........

Notice no American Cars.........but If I had a boat or a trailer of size....you betcha I'd have a Real Truck!
