Hi Kevin, Congrads on your overeheating fix but I would like to ask your help in understanding the nature of the actual problem. The MV Digifant motor uses the distributor Hall sensor as a simple ignition switch revolution counter and all timing adjustments are controlled in the Digifant control module. So it's not clear why the replacement of the distributor would change anything except if the basic distributor installed position was wrong and then corrected when the replacement distributor was installed.
