What's really scary in AL is all the ancient and decrepit (and often as not homemade) logging trucks. You'll see 35-40 year old 5 ton trucks with a tag axle stuck under them carrying full tree length loads with most of the length hanging off the back. *Real Scary* especially if you've ever seen a really well maintained and inspected log truck up in MN or WI lose part of it's load suddenly at 60mph. |
