Hi everyone, My westy diesel started making a Bad Noise while Christa (my SO) was driving it in White Rock yesterday. She let me hear the noise over the cell phone, and while it's pretty hard to diagnose over the phone (!), I strongly suspect a connecting rod bearing has gone again. :-( She's parked it and went about her business in a friend's car. I know it's kind of a long shot to ask the list, but I'm hoping someone may be able to recommend a mechanic in the area. I suspect it'll take about 5 minutes to determine there is some Bad News. I'd like to have her take it to a mechanic for a more informed diagnosis on Monday. I don't want her trying to drive it very far at all. It's parked near 16th Ave and 152nd St right now, so the closer to that area the better. I suspect I'm going to be in the market for a new (to me) 1.6 or 1.9 diesel engine soon...
