I have customer who bought a van from me a month ago complaining of a knocking noise in the rear brakes. I thought it was an out-of-round drum, so replaced both with new drums. Shoes are almost new. No loose bolts or wheel cylinder. Noise is still there, a rhythmic knocking, one knock per wheel revolution. The noise is there, whether the van is in gear or in neutral (automatic), but only when applying the brakes. Has anyone else encountered this before, and what might the problem be? Please respond to me by pmail, I'm currently not receiving list mail due to preparing to leave for a month. Thanks!~ Karl Mullendore Westy Ventures 1987 Westfalia Syncro 1.9TD |
