Hello All.... Latest adventure in my 1990 Carat w/auto transmission...affectionately known these days as The Anti-Christ....
So, there we are...big as life...cruising down the road on a sunny summer morning....windows open..curtains flying in the breeze... "What's that noise, Dad?" asks my 10 yr-old daughter. "What noise...I don't hear a noise" I casually reply... my ears perked up in anticipation of another side-of-the-road epic. Suddenly a "pop" and the van (in drive) acts like it is in neutral...then an ominous clunking. Pull over....shut her down...Girlfriend looks under Vanagon as I start her up & put in drive. Noise again. She informs me the Passenger Side Rear CV axel is shaking all over the place. So...if the CV is bad will it account for the Vanagon acting as if in neutral....or did something in the Trans go??? All input appreciated... kevindobrien@yahoo.com __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? HotJobs - Search Thousands of New Jobs http://www.hotjobs.com |
