I am a Newton owner. Newton is a PDA developed by Apple - before anyone else had been making PDA's. I use a mileage tracking package for this on my Newton. The software does all of this. Besides this, the Newton itself is great for tracking phone numbers, addresses, calendars, etc. so you can keep all that stuff in a handy place. With a modem and a cell phone, one can even connect to the net remotely and collect the Vanagon mail!! Let me know if you want more info. about this. These PDA's are awesome & faster than anything currently available, clean screens, batteries that last for 3+ weeks, handwriting recognition, etc!
