Hi everyone, I have an '80 Westfalia. It's working OK, with a rebuilt engine. But this vehicle is 22+ years old. How long should I really hold on to a vehicle of this age, and keep rebuilding and repairing it? Does a time come when, because of the fraility of certain unrepairable items, such as the insulation on the wires throughout the van, it doesn't make sense to maintain this van? It probably won't make sense to take this van on a long road trip in 50 years. Well, between then and now, when should I bail out and look to get something else? I'm not saying I don't like the van, but I'm just trying to get a sense for how long a person should hold on to a vehicle as a real workable get-around and travel auto. Thanks for your comments, Phil
