This problem stranded me in the middle of nowhere 2 times. First time with 3 broken screws requiring removing stubaxle and surgery to remove screws. Ride in U-haul truck with westy in tow. Was sure trans blown. Second time no broken bolts but no tools to tighten bolts except flathead screwdriver. made home but had to retighten few times resting in dirt. All result of washboard dirt roads driving. So, lesson learned, used only 12 point head screws, tooth lockwashers and threadlock(med. strength). Torqued to max spec. Works so far.
