What I did when this happenned to me was to remove the fan speed switch and use a jumper wire to test each fan speed, and I had a bad switch. $7.00 for a new one, locally and original.

> Hi Guys, > > My 1990 Vanagon has factory air. Controls are dash monted. For several years the 4 speed fan has worked on all but #3. This week I noticed 3 & 4 are both not working. Is this a bad switch or something with the motor itself? Any similar stories out there? Also, I did a r134a conversion on it last year & it blew super cold for the 1st time since I bought the van. This week it is blowing (lightly) warm air. Should I just recharge with r134a or look for leaks? > > Thanks, > > > > > David Kelly > 1990 Syncro Vanagolf 15" > 1963 Comet Convertible > 1976 CB550 Super Sport > Seattle > > > --------------------------------- > Do You Yahoo!? > HotJobs, a Yahoo! service - Search Thousands of New Jobs |
