i have about 20 of those front signal lenses.. let me know. ps, was the deer killed? if it wasnt, did you put it out of its misery? sounds cruel - but think of it..... there is a deer laying maimed, its internal organs hanging out, laying on the side of the road, sometimes for hours, still ALIVE, slowly dying...in horrible pain the whole time. what did you do? i have never hit an animal on the road, but if i did, i would not let it lay there writhing in pain for hours dying a slow death... if it was a domestic pet i would try to do what i could for it, attempt to locate its owner or possibly taking it to a vet if there looked like a chance it would survive.. if it was a wild animal, i would put it out of its misery if its condition looked terminal. i realize this is not a topic for the vanagon list, and please dont let this turn into a thread, but it is a scenario that some vanagon drivers will have to face at one point or another.. no, im not an animal rights activist, it just made me think.. anyway, here's a tip - i think the best way to prevent a possible collision between animals and vehicles is to immediately sound the horn when you see an animal at the side of the road, or running out into the road.. they respond to sound better than sight. they freeze whent hey see headlights - but the horn will scare them away. this is proven, and does work... lay on the horn the next time you see a animal run out in front of you, and i bet it will turn right around and run the other way saving its life and possibly yours. now back to vanagons.. :<) chris
