I've found a lot of non standard modifications on Westies and Vanagons. It is true that some make goose sense like dual horns, up graded sound systems but every change you make can become the weakest link between your van getting you there, bursting into flames or simply becoming un dependable at some point. I've heard list members just dropping in an Optima Battery so I'm sure they have a battery to fit the case. Find a dealer that has one that fits. I got six years out of my first Die Hard battery at $48.00 and since the battery is very well protected from most of its natural enemies of Heat, Cold, Dirt and Vibration it may have lasted another few years. Cranking a 4 cylinder isn't much work for a standard group 41/43 battery.
