Hey you volksmaniac!!!

Well, i have a "non" vanagon question, well maybe it is somewaht related!!

I am about to buy a 1979 BUS (he he he), one question, maybe some of you guys couls tell me if the 79 2.0L is the same as the 80-83 2.0L engine???

A few nice guys told me that the 79 engine was unique??? (maybe the heads or injection system) By looking a both (one of my friend as an 81) i don,t see any difference!!!

Also, it as a automatic trany $"%?&?*"%$?%" (Me with an automatic!!!) Is the trany the same as 80-83 Vanagaon (Parts availability wise)

Any info from you guys would be appreciated, i am about to buy this one today!!!

Any stuff i should look carefully, any tips!!!

Cheers volks, Ben (P-mail me at huotx@videotron.ca)

ps.: yes i should go to the type2 mailling list, i know! but for now, my virtual friends are here!!! http://www3.sympatico.ca/huotx/engine1.htm
