One thing about those screw type clams that you are mentioning..............They chafe the hose on the outside and can lead to failures in the short/long run...........Those spring type stock clamps sort of just squeeze it............

Look at a piece of hose that has had one of those screw clmps on it, then look at the other type....You can see the difference.
