The only adjustment you can make is that on the 2nd gear brake band. However, since you are having the problem after warm up, an internal hydraulic leak is the probable cause. Overhaul time. Changing the oil and filter may help for a while but at 167K, it owes you nothing.

I hope its not fatal I have a 86gl with 167K from what i can tell it hasn't been serviced regularly. It runs great and shifts smooth but when it comes up to tempature 2nd gear slipping. Has anyone had this problem? I looked at the manual. It looked like the only adjustment had to be made with the transmittion removed. Anyone have any Indian tricks? Thanks in advance, Lee
