There is one improvement to this that I have seen:

Instead of a Hula Hoop for the top, you use a container with a slightly dome-shaped lid and handle. Then you "sew" the shower curtain to the inside of this lid using thin nylon rope. THe bottom of the curtain is similarly "sewn" to the inside of the bottom of the container. USe a large enough container to stand in.

There is a small drain hose installed in the bottom container which can be snaked out the side door of the Westy. (optional)

To take a shower, you lift up the top and attach it to the pop top (like you have done). Use a solar shower, or an adapter right off your faucet (only sissies need hot water!) :-) When finished, you just drop everything back down into the lower part of the container as one assembly. OK, with as much snow as you seem to have in August wherever you are camping, I think I like the hot water idea...

Credit to Mark Drillock for this idea. I have all the parts, but have not gotten around to building the contraption yet. I do find that I am much less tolerant of being unbathed during a camping trip than I was at 17, so I will probably get around to it pretty soon....
