Hi folks,
     A big thanks to all on the list.  My odometer quit recently, but thanks
to the endless input of the list I was able to repair it, without even
accessing the archives.  Strangely, I just remembered the numerous postings
and went right to work.  Fixed the main odo (just pushed the little wheel in
further) and also found the problem with the trip odo.  When I would reset
it, it would still read 1/10 mile instead of 0.  Turns out the little plastic
loop that holds the axle had broken, so the whole assembly moved instead of
just the reset parts.  Quick dab of epoxy and I'm on my way.
     Strangest thing is, I took the opportunity to roll the odometer FORWARD
by 160 miles to make up for the mileage I drove when the odo was busted.  Is
that a criminal act, like rolling it back?  And at 265,176 miles does it
matter?
     Again thanks be to the list, forever keeping me free of mechanics.
