I just ran across an old article from my archives. Some of you may be interested. Some excerpts follow: "Eliminate the only draw back to the VW camper...Install or remove completely in under 10 minutes...Large 7000BTU capacity...Light weight 55 LB unit fits in luggage rack...Easy installation..complete kit $895...AC has attached folding plenum..Only increases vehicle height by 8 1/2 inches...110 volts, 7.8 amps...

The unit was sold by Flight Engineering & Development, Inc. National Building St. Petersburg/Clearwater Airport Clearwater, FL 34622

The photo looks like the unit attached on top of the luggage rack and zipped in where the screen is located.

Has anyone ever seen one of these? Appears to be a very neat installation. George
