Still looking around at many westys. Sure it's nice to find one with low miles but it seems so rare for an early 80's westy and sooner or later it will probably need to be rebuilt anyway. At the same time, HIgh miles such as 180k does not sound too inviting but I came across one that is having a brand new engine installed before he sells it. not any kind of conversion, just the same kind that it had before. it is an 82 westy and the shop that will be installing the engine is J&J in Reno. I have heard they are very good and that they specialize in vanagons. Anyway, who has some thoughts on this subject? A new engine would be nice but just the fact that there are 180k total miles makes me hesitant? I really want a westy but i just need to be patient... thanks, Gordy
