I think this debate started about a month or so ago with someone suggesting that vanagons and their derivatives just don't handle well or hold the road. So driving it like a sports car or not wasn't really the question - we seem to have a reasonable concensus that certainly European transporters do indeed handle quite well whilst some say they handle extremely well, with the right engine being quite up to chasing BMW's down country lanes - Ok, so we're a weird lot over here, requiring good steering and handling, reasonable roadholding and powerful stopping performance. Blame the roads for one, and amongst others, the male competitive spirit - van or car!
