I have the Vrede Transport Steel on our 91 Carat and they are excellent. Handling in a high cross wind is for all practical purposes almost the same in the in the Vanagon as in my Jetta or Saab SPG - really. Wet wx - I have no complaints - dunno about snow or slush though. They'll handle up to 65 PSI, put I run them at the rating VW has for these sized tires, which I believe is 30 PSI up front and 40 PSI in back Though I've wondered if this is the correct pressure too. Hope this helps. bem the stem ----- Original Message ----- From: "Leon Korkin" <korkwood@WSHOST.NET> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Saturday, August 17, 2002 1:53 AM Subject: Re: Tires again: Are there any 205/70R14 LT tires on the market?
