Maybe.  WHen I had H&R springs on my Westy, I had less than 3" clearance
between the ground and the factory mudflap.
The mudflap now has a tear across about half of its width. You may have
enough clearance that this will not be a problem,
but I think being lower to the ground causes the mudflap to flex more
and will accelerate wear.
