Subject: Dometic Fridge Removal

Here's how and what to do for fridge removal:

Remove bolts in front face of covering (pry off plastic screw head covers, remove door and door frame), two or three each bolts in side of fridge in storage cabinets in front/back of fridge, 6 bolts holding on flue vent. All are #2 philips. That's it. Sears sell a wrench (21mm) that's short handled (6")and will operate behind fridge to remove propane connection. Part number 9-11424. You need it to disconnect propane fitting.

Remove the flue vent and take everything off until you just have the egg-shaped flue. Assuming you have removed all the bolts pull the fridge out about an inch or so. Go back outside and stuff flue inside van - else it will get caught on body.

Pull the fridge out another inch or so. Depending on how skinny you are you might be able to stick your arm inside the metal vent (after you remove it of course) on the side of the fridge counter that faces the rear closet. If not you have access to the propane fitting through the cabinet under the sink - take everything out and you will have access.

After moving the fridge out a nother few inches after disconnecting the propane you will need to unplug the 12V connection, it's ground strap wire and the 120V plug. My burner area was filled with dead insects, crud and some rust. When you have the burner area open you can see if the piezo unit is sparking properly.
