Which only confirms my original assertion: Frequent oil change is more important than *type* of oil.

I'd haveta disagree and say that all dinos pretty much compare to dinos, and etc. Here's a seat of the pants observation for ya: (2.1 liter) AFAIK, this engine never tasted MMO.

When I tried to push Castrol 20W50 past 4,000 miles, the dynamic oil pressure system would sound off after hard freeway runs. Lifter noise after short term (or no term) layoff was common- no matter whether the oil was fresh or not. After I switched to Mobil 1 15W50, and 8,000 mile change intervals, neither phenomenon ever happened again- not even during the startup after the bus had been idle for five months.
