Here is how I perform this proceedure. Pick up the phone and call a local auto glass place and let them do it. I have said this more than a few times but the last windshield I had replaced was from Safelite Autoglas. They did the work for around $145 and it took them 30 mins. They came to my home and did it and also installed a new windshield seal. Why take the chance of breaking a new or good windshield when someone else can do it better/cheaper/faster? Just my opinion.

Hi All, She cant see quite as clearly as she used to, when she was spunky young girl... Guess I`d better take care of her, and put a new windshield in. It`s get`n a little cloudy, a few rock chips and a crack or two... Guess I`d better take care of her, and put a new windshield in. They say it`s an outcall procedure, not even an operation anymore... Should I use any kind of sealer? RTV? got any tricks? Thanks, John C...
