I had done it this way, but could not listen to the radio with the key on or risk damage to the coil (since vanagons have no acc position)...Was going to wire it to second battery but have not had the time.......

My radio power operates when the ignition is on but I want to change it to operate with the ignition off. I know what and how to do it but just wondered if anyone has any precautions or suggestions etc.etc.
