Hello Larry:

No it is not a vw radio this is an after market with a disc player, etc. etc.

If you want yours to go off with the ignition key you will more than likely have to go back to the fuse panel and find a lead that is controlled with the key and move your radio hot lead there. regards. clarence 1990 multi.
