Are you suggesting that I split the cable that is currently connected to the starter battery and then connect the relay at that point? Will that operate the same way?

Where did you locate the fuse?

Russel, a closer connection point is the +ve terminal of the starter battery. There should be a hole already cut in the side of the box under/behind the driver's seat and a similar whole in the main battery compartment. The relay will fit in either battery box. I added a fuse too. Larry in Ontario, Canada
