Subject: FOLO UP: As non-mechanic, am I crazy to pull my own Fridge?

As a folo-up to my original question about whether I'd be crazy as a non-mechanic to pull my fridge, I wanted to let listees know that _before_ I plunged in I tried one last thing, as advocated by listee George Jannini:

"...try taking off the flue vent cover and putting a vacuum cleaner to the vent tubes."

I did that, using a nylon sock as a filter, and sucked out a coal mine's worth of black granules. The upshot: Fridge lit immediately after that, so thanks to all for the advice\encouragement and I'm glad I used the vacuum before I actually pulled the thing out.
