I'll vote for a VERY STURDY front tire carrier that could go under a Syncro and take a bit-o-bashing about. Like to keep the dish or some black diamond plate to protect the tire.

Seth Hatfield gets his version to work by relocating the rear hing location from the top of the frame rail to the bottom. Not sure if the front bolt is longer or not.

I got one a version from Mark Drillock but haven't been able to get my 215/75/15 Michelin ATX's to fit up in there without binding the steering shaft, even partially deflated. Think lowering the hinge location like Seth does provides the extra clearance needed.
