Subject: stalls at start-up; needs to warm up at higher RPMs
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi, First let me thank everyone who replied to the dripping a/c. One tube was disconnected from the condenser tray. Fixed it, with your help. I also tried using the metal tube insulating foam to re-direct the cold stream of air (as a list-member had mentioned) and now with my clip-on dashboard fan, it gets downright cold. (after awhile) New problem. (maybe) My 90 multivan always started right up even when we first got it and it needed new heads and a definite tune-up. It would start up and idle at a bit over 1000 rpm and then after awhile settle in at between 750 - 1000. In the last few days, mostly when the engine is colder, it'll start but won't hold idle and stall. When I restart, I just hold the pedal down to keep it at 2000 rpm for about 30 seconds and then all is well, except that it seems to idle at 750 or a bit under. If I turn the engine off after it's hot, it'll act normal but if I let it cool for an hour or more, it seems to happen again. Any ideas? Oh, and I did try the archives.
