Hi Folks,
       All the talk about bleeding the radiator got me thinking.  In a house
I lived in a few years ago, we had a hot-water baseboard heat system.  It had
a bleed screw upstairs, but in the basement there was a little cylinder on
top of one of the pipes.  If I recollect, it had a schrader valve or
something in it, and it would trap bubbles in the cylinder until you bled the
device.  Once in a while you just push the valve and PPSSTT the system is
bled.
       So, anyone ever think of making a device to replace the radiator bleed
bolt with a small air reservoir and a bleed valve?  If you could use
transparent/translucent plastic, it would be easy to check if you have a
bubble or not, and quick to bleed.  Also, it would keep the air out of the
circulation path and tucked away in the reservoir.
       Or, more simply, we could bore and tap the bolt and just put a tube
with a schrader valve right into it.  You could even run the tube inside so
you can bleed while you drive!  Brilliant!
