Hi Chuck,
Thanks for your help! I haven't unscrewed the oil pressure relief valve yet, but I'm just wondering from your e-mail what happens if you don't drain the oil first - could you do engine damage or is it just messy? Trust me - I'm going to take your advice, but I'm curious as to why the process.
Peace,
Marla

Marla,
If you're going to check the oil pressure relief valve you'll have to drain the oil. I'm not sure if you can replace the pushrod tube without draining the oil. You'll have to remove the valve cover, rocker assembly and pushrod before you can replace the tube. The tube with the spring is the one you want for a simple replacement. Get the end seals as well since they may have been damaged along with the tube. Drain the oil before you unscrew the pressure relief valve.
