The radiator is the highest point in the system. You *must* bleed the air from it. Remove the grill. The bleeder is at the top corner of the radiator on the left side as you face the front of the van. Its just an ordinary looking 8mm bolt with a 13 mm head. Get a helper to hold the RPMs at about 2000. It may help to elevate the front of the van. With the rpms up remove the cap of the expansion tank and pour in coolant till it run over a little. Run to the front and remove the bleeder bolt. Let the air come out and replace it when you get a steady stream of coolant. If hot, gloves might help reduce pain. When the bleeder is tight, run to the back and add as much coolant as you can. Replace the cap on the tank and then let your helper lower the rpms. Repeat this therapy as necessary. Assuming your system is tight enough to hold pressure, you can leave the grill off for a few days and carry the wrench with you. When the engine is fully warm and immediately after shutting it off you can cautiously loosen the bleeder just enough to release any air until a little coolant seeps out. Have fun, Larry A.
