Ceramic piston, head and valve coatings are used in race-car engines. They are also available for our lowly cars. There are a number of companies that can apply ceramic coatings to engine parts of your choice. Ceramic-coating your water boxer heads will eliminate the possibility of pitting from coolant leaks.
