Uh-oh! I just bought 2 gal of "the green stuff!" Sierra propylene glycol, phosphate free. I know of at least one other list member who has some experience with this product. You out there? Wanna weigh in on this? Dave in KC 85 Westy
Robert Keezer said: I do believe you should not use the green stuff- all of it has phosphates and is propylene glycol. I'm just going by the WBX coolant tank warning label, to only use ethylene glycol based coolants. As long as it says ethylene glycol phosphate free, it's WBX safe. Even if you want to buy the blue, a gallon or two still is a lot cheaper than engine repairs. |
