On a recent trip the knob on the stock window crank on our '85 van came off. As luck would have it we were visiting Alfies (auto wrecker in Surrey B.C.) looking for a mirror for my daughters '83 Jetta. There were no Vanagon window cranks around but there was a nice set of brown cranks on an A2 Jetta that was in the yard. As a bonus the Jetta cranks had a thicker spacer that allows the crank to miss our aftermarket speakers. Note the Jetta cranks require a longer screw. (the screws for the '83 Jetta mirror were perfect.) George '85 Westfalia |
