I have the CoolPix 990 (3.3 megapixel). If there is one thing about it that would make me buy it again, it's the fact that the lens can twist on the body of the camera. When you're in a crowd, hold up the camera, look up at the viewfinder, twist the lens to the front, presto. I also like to frame pictures while looking down, I find people are less likely to be hams and strike a pose if it just looks like I'm reviewing pictures already taken. The menu is first rate, picture quality is excellent. The picture transfer from camera to computer is really slow with the provided software, but useable. I bought a USB card reader for $15 and it's WAY faster.

Have fun, bmc :) "Faith will move mountains, but you'd better bring a shovel...."
