I dare 'em to try it without using a second vehicle...

But really, for the manifold (Right side scoop) a difference could be measured on a remotely monitored barometer with the pick-up riding under the filter in the air box. Same conditions, flat road full throttle, check reading right as the van makes it to 60MPH first with the stock scoops and then with the new fangled ones. Heck, if they can produce an extra half atmosphere down there, I wouldn't complain. It might require the sealing of the tube that goes from the air box to the engine compartment wall where it passes through. The thought of trying to vent the left side intake at number 3 cylinder is a good one. I wonder if it is already designed to somewhat do that. They did choose to use the right side for the manifold air, is that because they were thinking about old hot number three? Inquiring minds want to know.
