Hi Bob,

Any chance that you have a description of what components and their locations or pictures of your install? What kind of oil temperature reduction were you able to achieve?

Thanks for any info, Helen & Joe Fahy '87 Westy

And now for some other nearly un-quantifiable data.

IIRC, the scoops in question are being made by Mark to send air through an external engine oil cooler, and a turbo intercooler. Mounted in the spaces behind the right and left rear wheels, respectively.

I had one of the tin-knockers here at work bend me up a scoop for the passenger side to push air over the external engine oil cooler I mounted behind the right rear wheel. I made some simple ducting to make sure that the only source of air over the cooler is from the scoop, down the snorkel, through the cooler and out the bottom (it could be the other direction for all I know).

Anyway. My oil temperature goes down at highway speeds, suggesting to me that there is more airflow over the cooler.

I have no fan on the cooler.

I can't say which way the airflow is going though.

I suppose I could take the scoop off and see if the results are the same. Perhaps I will do that.
