Subject: Timing Adjust = loss of power?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi,

My mechanic was trying to get my 87 to pass smog and adjusted the timing back to specs. Apparently it was 5 degrees to advanced (I might have set it that way on purposes, I cant remember). Anyway, she seems much weaker this morning, slower on inclines, and a complete dog of the line...

Would 5 degrees advanced give better power? If so, Ill reset it after smog, cause in the end, its all about sppppeeeeeeeed!

Thanks,

Jeff
