Dude!

Not to diss that most kind rant about an obnoxious customer or what, but ....

... most of us wouldn't be here if we could find competent Vanagon Doktors within a healthy commute who would, for a reasonable dollar, reasonable dime and reasonable series of grunts:

A) get the oil and filter change right, to spec, the first time (stripping/cross-threading no count);

B) correctly and quickly diagnose Digifant faults and repair them with parts as good and as cheap as I could find with a simple Yahoo search;

C) make simple repairs that I do not have tools or shelter or time to deal with, simply.

Most women (unfortunately) could not change oil and filter any better than your customer, but to womens' credit, most would not pretend that they knew more than you in the first place. (I think there is a boutique-y business to be done in telling with-it women (and other people) how their cars work, but I guess I'm off on a Friday nightrant!)
