If I remember correctly the wire ends in the supplied Tiico connector are too big to fit in the OBDII connector. I tried what you are thinking about and managed to get the wire ends of the the funky Tiico connector only to find that they would not fit into the OBDII connector that I bought from the dealer. So I would up cutting them off and splicing on the yellow wires that Peter lists on his site. These have smaller connectors that work. Hope this helps.

Hi All; A quick question and I hope a quick reply (tools all over the place, vehicle out of service and it's getting late, etc. etc.

I'm changing the diagnostic connector that came with the Tiico to an OBDII (supplied by Peter). Is there any easy way to take apart the existing connector? It's got a wire around the 2 short sides and one long side (like some older computer connectors) that may have something to do with it. I would like to know if it comes apart some way before I destroy it.

Thanks, Dave B. 83.5 Tiico Westy 83.5 WBX Westy
