Why not use a large stainless steel hose clamp instead? I have used these from Home Depot and they seem to work well/hold up well. Just FYI.

I am in need of the muffler strap for my 85 Vanagon 1.9L. Bus Depot no longer has them. The four VW dealerships in Minneapolis/St. Paul don't have one sitting on the shelf. VW isn't making them anymore. I know I could make something work, but I'd like to find one, preferably a new one, but a clean original one. Does Napa or one of the FLAPS have a reproduction out yet?

Ryan New exhaust system waiting for me to find the time to put it on. And one stinking piece of bend sheet metal.
