Subject: What is normal vacuum spec on 2.1L?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" ; format="flowed"

Anyone ever put a vacuum gauge to their 2.1L? I'm just wondering what a normal reading should be? My old reference material says 20mmHg for a 6cyl and 18mm for an 8cyl, not sure if I can exrapolate this to the waterboxer. I know for sure my breather pipe has a few pinhole leaks causing some false air to enter after the AFM and I thinks its causing some hesitation when engine is cold and a rough idle (not real bad) when warmed up. I'm thinking this leak in the breather pipe should also show up as a low vaccum reading but not sure what normal is. Also not sure if this "leak" is being compensated for by the O2 sensor or not (in longer inj time), I dont know just how much out of whack the O2 sensor can compensate for.
