Subject: Syncro front underpanel
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

My syncro has an underpanel at the front where the spare wheel on a 2WD goes. This seems to be for weather and foreign body protection. It was a pain to get it off due to seized/loose anchor nuts (I drilled out the bolts)

Is this flat bottomed tapered panel standard or syncros?

There appears to be no provision at the front or rear for spare carrier hinge/securing fitments.

Was this because the syncro was expected to get the spare bashed badly when off-road?

PS - its not a syncro 16 (I'm wanting to put my 15" under there)

Thanks,

Clive '88 Syncro Transporter
