3) - If you have non-camper sliding windows, leave one open, reach through it to lock the door you couldn't lock previously, then slide the window closed.

I remember doing this on my Carat and my '75 Bus after I had locked it up only to discover that one of the kids had left the window open. It doesn't work on campers though, the latch is too far back and the screen is in the way.
