My Vanagon, 1987 Camper, 4 speed, 203,000 miles on chassis, 68,000 miles on VW of Canada rebuild, my daily transporation, average 25,000 miles per year.

ENGINE OIL:(Mobil 1 15W50) Changed over from dino-oil with 15,000 miles on rebuilt motor, uses 1 quart every 1000 miles changed every 5,000 miles

OIL FILTER:(Mann)

COOLANT: (Texaco/Halvoline Dex-Cool - phosphate-free, ethylene glycol based) When I bought it, it had green Prestone, will change every two years

MAN TRANS OIL: (Redline MTL) Installed at 149,000 miles, changed it once since

BRAKE FLUID: (Castrol DOT4) Changed every two years

No Power Steering, no Auto Tranny

DRIVER LUBRICATION (Tucher Helles Hefe Weizen, 1/2L bottle, one or two) Served with sausage, red cabbage, mashed potatoes and sauerkraut and it doesn't have to be cold.
