Hi, I have an 86 GL with the weekender fold down rear seats package.  She
has been in my family since new and has 174k miles.  Oil regularaly changed
at 3k miles.  Does not burn oil and compression is great.   Does not leak
and in fact the engine heads have been professionally R and R'd.  Only use
Castrol GTX of the correct viscosities.  New clutch at 105k.  A/C could work
if it were charged since compressor is new.  Blaupunkt New Orleans also
which works very well.  Tires are Yokos and brakes almost new with Mercedes
pads.  Interior is spotless as I am a very anal individual about
cleanliness.  Has the VW roof rack system and factory mud flaps.  Ziebarted
when new and did the updates.  Has bosch platinum plugs and new wiring.  The
mechanical MAP air sensor was rebuilt and fixed a hesitation problem I was
having.  Factory manual comes with the car as well as lots of advice on
operation learned over the years.  It truly was and is a great vehicle we
are sorry to have to sell. Too many vehicles.  Never in a wreck or damaged.
Ask me any question about her and I will answer you truthfully.  It is grey
in color with blue cloth upholstery and no rips or tears.  Power windows
actually work.  Power locks don't but could be made to.
