I fully tore down my blown 1981 and there were a gob of strange wires going
into the engine compartment from the PO. Some led to the AC (compressor long
removed), some to tach and CHT gauges up front. A mish mash of years of
neglect. Most likely you will have to crawl under and trace it to its
origin.

There should not be any wires/connectors that connect to the throttle body
or
anything in that area. Except for the FI harness wiring.
